Cliff Lane Primary School, Ipswich 2024

“The children really enjoyed this project. Tim and his colleague, Blue, came into school and ran a number of workshops with our pupils……. they helped our children create designs and build on their ideas to inspire the final product. These workshops were so purposeful as the children knew that at the end of it they would be able to visit and enjoy the bench as it is just across the road from our school.  Tim then invited the children to visit the park whilst he was installing the bench, which was a lovely experience for them and also meant that they knew exactly where it was and where to take their friends and family to see it.

This was a great, purposeful experience for the children and I would highly recommend that any school work with Tim should they get the opportunity.”

Langer Park, Felixstowe 2022

We are absolutely delighted with our pair of bespoke benches created for Langer Park in Felixstowe. The craftsmanship is excellent and, having given Tim a free rein on design, they look beautiful. We were lucky to be able to provide Tim with oak from a local woodland which makes them all the more special.

Ormiston Endeavour Academy 2022

The students responded in a hugely positive way to Tim’s sessions, and he was able to engage students in enriching conversations about communities and design.

It is a testament to Tim’s work that we now are the proud owners of a beautiful, functional, unique piece which students feel a real connection to and make great use of.

Munnings Museum 2021

The craftsmanship of the bench is excellent. It is both beautiful and robust and clearly Tim is experienced in creating practical yet artistic furniture appropriate to the setting in which it is placed.

The design process was straightforward and Tim worked with members of the community to develop the design for the bench. As this was during the pandemic sessions were convened online and much ground was covered with discussion and explored ideas until the look of the final piece was decided upon.

Two Rivers Medical Centre 2017

Working with Tim on the Two Rivers project was hugely enjoyable, not only in respect of his participation within the Arts Committee meetings, but also the attention to detail and a ‘can-do’ attitude demonstrated throughout the course of the project. The new furniture was produced on-time and within budget, but most importantly was delivered to a high standard in terms of quality.

Hitcham Play Area 2011

The bench was installed approximately 7 years ago and I am pleased to report it is in very good order, despite having had no formal maintenance during this period. The timber does not appear to have deteriorated at all thanks to the clever design and quality materials used; i.e. the bench is constructed from shaped sweet-chestnut boards, attached to a steel frame, so that the boards are able to shed water and none of the timber is contact with the ground.

I would have no hesitation in recommending Tim for similar work, his service was delivered within a fixed time frame and within budget and he was friendly, knowledgeable, professional and a pleasure to work with.
